In racing, when the going gets tough, the tough go hunting for good rides. And Dougie Whyte is an expert in this area which has been proved time and time again.
Last Wednesday, he had mended any faces that might have been broken with easily the most successful Chinese trainer in Hong Kong- Dennis Yip chor-hung- and won aboard his One Of A Kind for owner Rita Fan. It was a classic Whyte ride and a classic bit of PR to keep the ride. Yip, Yip, Hooray, indeed.

Though the odds of the jockey getting on top of any horses for Caspar Fownes looks a very forlorn possibility, it’s interesting to see that Whyte rides three horses for Yip on Sunday- and one at even two pounds over- All You Wish.
As many know, current leader in the Jockeys Premiership- Zac Purton- and Dennis Yip have forged a very successful power which has not gone unnoticed by the Durban Demon. He has crashed that party with a vengeance.

Sunday’s results could be a game changer in the Jockeys Premiership with The Zac Attack having winning chances aboard Surfer Boy in Race 1 and Lord’s Dragon in Race 6.

As for Whyte, his chances look good on David Hall’s Bamboo Dance, John Size’s Sight Winner and Little Men which was give a What Do We Do With A Drunken Soldier ride last time, perhaps Sir Eagles for Sean Woods, and All You Wish and Gurus Dream for Dennis Yippie Yai Kah Yeah.
Yes, after the meeting on Sunday, this could indeed be what Mr Bling Bang Boom could be screaming.
